Juneau is Alaska's capital city, located along the Alaska Panhandle in southeast Alaska. The city's most recent history includes the turn of the century gold rush. Since no road goes to Juneau, access is made by plane and the Alaska Marine Ferry system. Juneau is Alaska's third largest city, with about 32,000 residents.
