Prince William Sound

Prince William Sound reached world fame due to the Exxon Valdez oil spill of 1989. It is a jewel in Alaska's varied geological landscape, littered with glaciers, mountains, lush forested hillsides, marine life, abundant bird life, and sheltered waterways. It is also home to the northernmost temperate rainforest in the world.
