Gold Panning

Gold panning still occurs in Alaska, mainly as a recreational tourist activity. In the past, panning was used to test the payload quality of soils rather than as a high-volume method of mining gold. If you visit Alaska, you might find yourself bit by gold fever and try panning some payload yourself at one of the many venues.
