Nome-Council Highway

The Nome - Council Road runs east of Nome for 72 miles and ends near Council. The road passes along the Norton Sound, through Safety Sound, and weaves through coastal flats and grasslands. It follows the coast for 30 miles before turning inland. Along the way is the famous last train to nowhere near Solomon.
