Alaska is a huge place with few roads, and the bush plane is, for many, the means (sometimes the only means) of traveling. With planes on floats, skis, or tundra wheels, bush pilots have navigation of Alaska's wilderness landscape in all types of weather and often quickly changing and sometimes dangerous conditions.
