The Aleutian Mountain Range juts westward on the long Alaska Peninsula on Alaska's southwest coast. Many active volcanoes are in this range, which is part of the Pacific Rim of Fire. Mt. Redoubt, Mt. Illiamna, and Mt. Augustine are common, active volcanoes in this long and arcing coastal range.
