Mt. Blackburn is the highest peak in the Wrangell Mountains, nested with the Wrangell St. Elias National Park in southcentral Alaska. At 16,390 feet, it is the twelfth-highest peak in North America. Its broad and distinctive summit is covered almost entirely by glaciers and ice fields. On a clear day, it can be viewed from the Richardson Highway.
