Winter

The season of winter in Alaska is a long one. The severity of the temperatures and amount of snow depends on the geography, and there is a wide variation in temperatures throughout the state. In the high Arctic, the sun disappears for months during the heart of winter, and frigid temperatures exist in much of the Interior.
