Mountain goats inhabit the steep and rugged mountain slopes of southcentral and southeastern Alaska. They are white, and both males and females have slightly similar horns. Unlike the Dall Sheep males, the billy goats have horns that do not curl. They are very adept on foot and prefer steep mountain country for protection.
